Privacy policy

This policy covers swoonsy.com and nothing else. The site is a company page: there are no accounts, no forms and no analytics, so we collect very little. If you use Itclickt or Klusko, their own privacy policies apply, at itclickt.com/privacy and klusko.com/legal/privacy.
Who we are
The controller of your personal data is Swoonsy Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, United Kingdom. You can reach us at hello@swoonsy.com. We're a small company and haven't appointed a data protection officer; privacy questions go to the same address and are answered by the people who run the company.
What we collect and why
When you visit the site
Our hosting provider, Railway, records a line for every request to its servers: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, your browser's user agent and the response code. We use these logs to keep the site running and to spot abuse. Our own server code doesn't log anything about visitors.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). The logs are deleted automatically after 30 days at most, and we don't use them to work out who you are.
When you email us
If you write to us, we get your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in the message. We use it to reply and to deal with what you asked about.
Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering correspondence, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b)) if you're writing about working with us. We keep emails for up to two years after the last message. If the conversation turns into a contract, we keep it for as long as we have to keep business records, which in the UK is usually six years.
What we don't do
No cookies, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no embedded videos or maps, no fonts or scripts loaded from anyone else's servers. The details are on our cookies page. We don't sell personal data and we don't use it for automated decisions about you.
Who else sees it
- Railway Corporation hosts the site. Our service runs in Railway's European region (Amsterdam), but Railway is a US company, so its staff or sub-processors may access log data from the United States.
- Google hosts our email (Google Workspace), so it stores the messages you send us.
- Professional advisers such as accountants or lawyers, when they need it to advise us.
- Authorities, if the law requires us to share something, such as a court order.
Where personal data goes outside the UK, we rely on the safeguards UK law requires: an adequacy decision, or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests, and ask for data you gave us in a portable format. Email hello@swoonsy.com. We'll reply within one month, and it's free unless a request is plainly excessive.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, tell us first and we'll try to put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. If you live in the EU, you can go to the data protection authority in your own country instead.
Children
This site isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and the date at the top. If a change is significant, for example we add a contact form or analytics, we'll say so on the page before it takes effect.
